Design of a new construction

Do you have impressive ideas for a new design, but you do not have the know-how and facilities to commit your ideas to paper, then you have come to the right place. We can realize your ideas in close consultation with you within the legislation and regulations.

Examples of this include the push convoy “MUSCARI” and “MUSCARI II” newly constructed in 1994. This was a type of ship, which was subsequently widely “copied”. Individual new midship and forward parts of the ship, such as, for example, the double-walled tanker “ODINA”.

Designing a new model passenger ship for the Amsterdam city canals is also a familiar job for us. A passenger ship for day-time navigation, linked with a maximum ship’s length, a maximum ship’s width and for simplicity also taking account of a maximum height whilst still being able to carry as many passengers as possible.

Even designing special non-standard container ships, such as the “CAMARO’S” is within our capabilities.

Now the design of the "CITY SUPPLIER" , a fuelling ship, for the Amsterdam city canals, is ready. This ship is electrically operated as a result of which it is an environment-friendly vessel.

We used to drawn on the “drawing board”, but now everything is computerised using the necessary drawing and design programs. This is a big change compared to previously, but no less challenging. To ensure that ship designs are nicely congruous, we use the program Fairway.

Propeller shafts
With renewal of the certificate after 01 January 2015, all the shaft ceilingducts of rudder stocks and of (propeller)shafts need to be conducted, so, that no water polluted lubricants can come out. This means that, also for existing ships, rudder stocks and propeller shafts should provide an outer seal. We advise you, when a rudder stock or propeller shaft must be disassembled for example (damage)repair, to use the opportunity to place an outer seal, including any modification of the rudder stock or propeller shaft.
